What you need to know (and do) about the proposed underwater power line in the Columbia River.

Our friends at Columbia Riverkeeper pulled together an extraordinary group of experts and tribal leaders to learn about the potential impacts of the “Cascade Renewable Transmission” project, a proposed underwater power line in the Columbia River.

The development would be a roughly 100-mile high-voltage transmission line running underwater from the Dalles, Oregon, to Portland.

The conversation featured:

  • Elaine Harvey (CRITFC Manager, Yakama Nation Tribal Member, and Columbia Riverkeeper Board Member)
  • Steve McCoy (Friends of the Columbia Gorge)
  • Teryn Yazdani (Staff Attorney, Columbia Riverkeeper)
