The event includes cultural and educational activities including speeches from tribal leaders and salmon conservation experts, a live demonstration of the traditional lamprey fillet and preservation techniques, and much more. Drummers will provide live singing while dancers showcase cultural performances. Included in the festivities is a recurring 25-minute guided boat tour to Willamette Falls, where education on the historical and cultural significance of the falls will be given. Attendees are also welcome to a share a culturally significant meal consisting of tribal-caught lamprey and salmon, provided and cooked by Yakama Nation Fisheries staff.
