Magic Canoe champions place-based, locally-driven solutions that inspire ecological and systemic transformation in Salmon Nation.
Magic Canoe combines solutions journalism and visual storytelling to uplift innovative ideas and alternative approaches to the greatest challenges of our time—the climate crisis, growing inequity, and environmental degradation. Leading the way are community-based changemakers, problem solvers, conservation advocates, doers, catalysts, and thought leaders who care deeply about the places we live and the future we are creating in Salmon Nation, the rich bioregion that stretches from Northern California to the North Slope of Alaska.
We are seeking a creative, results-driven digital marketing coordinator to design, implement, and optimize a digital marketing strategy across Magic Canoe online channels, which include the website, newsletter, and social media. This role is responsible for increasing brand awareness, growing our audience, driving audience engagement and charitable contributions, potentially implementing a subscription/membership program, and improving overall online performance through data-driven marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate has experience analyzing performance metrics and collaborating with team members to achieve nonprofit business objectives. Experience creating and nurturing online environmental and/or political movements is a plus.
